Remove objects from video — not just people

The same model that erases crowds also removes vehicles and other dynamic objects: the delivery van parked through your establishing shot, the cyclist crossing your product b-roll, the rolling suitcase in your hotel walkthrough.

What it removes out of the box

• People, crowds, and their cast shadows and reflections
• Cars, vans, buses, trains passing through the scene
• Bikes and scooters — including a rider’s edge occlusions
• Edge and foreground occluders, when enough background is visible around them

The “also remove” trick

The model responds to being told what should notappear. Lightricks’ own testing found that naming a stubborn object explicitly — in both the positive and negative prompt — is the difference between a bike vanishing cleanly and its handlebars staying behind. That is exactly what the optional “Also remove…” field in our generator does: type bicycle, dog, umbrella and we splice those terms into the official prompt template on both sides.

What it can’t do (yet)

• Selective removal — it removes a class of subjects globally; it cannot keep one person and erase the rest
• Static objects — a parked car that never moves reads as background and tends to stay
• Frame-filling subjects — if the object covers most of the frame, there is no background to rebuild; use mask-based inpainting for those
